Ever since I was a little kid “studying” German at home and Spanish in kindergarten, I've been interested in other languages. I’ve had the chance to take language classes in high school and university as well as learn in a sink-or-swim immersion situation. In addition, I’ve worked in several different language schools over the years.
In my hubs, I hope to share some of the best foreign language learning strategies and techniques I’ve picked up as a language teacher and learner.
I believe that with enough motivation and study methods suited to their learning style, anyone can learn another language regardless of age or “aptitude.” And I’ve had students in their eighties!
I don’t hold a PhD in linguistics and I’m no superpolyglot (not even close). My style is more practical than academic. Most of my learning has been for practical purposes and my students have been primarily business people who didn’t care much about philology.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, I invite you to my blog where you'll find tips and tricks for language learning at www.fasterforeignlanguagelearning.com/blog
By the way, those Spanish lessons went no farther than kindergarten, so I’m afraid I can’t help you translate any Español. :-)
